The original Broadway soundtrack to "Cabaret" was released on Columbia Records in 1966. The original cast included Joel Grey as the Master of Ceremonies, Jill Haworth as Sally Bowles, Lotte Lenya as Fraulein Schneider, Jack Gilford as Herr Schultz, Bert Convy as Cliff, Edward Winter as Ernst, and Peg Murray as Fraulein Kost. This production won 8 Tonys including Best Musical, Score, Direction, and Featured Acting Awards for Grey, and Murray.
