The original London cast recording of "Bye Bye Birdie" was released on Mercury Records in 1961. This production opened one year after the show's Broadway debut. The cast included Chita Rivera as Rosie, the role she originated on Broadway, future Hollywood Squares host Peter Marshall as Albert, Angela Baddeley as Mae and Marty Wilde as Conrad Birdie.
